About Courtney

Courtney is an MFA in Creative Writing student at the University of Victoria. She is a graduate of Western University, where she received her Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing. At Western, she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Arts and Humanities undergraduate publications Semicolon and Symposium as well as the university's Student Writer-in-Residence. 

Courtney has a special interest in writing creative nonfiction on mental health and chronic illness. She was recently shortlisted for the 2020 National Bridge Prize in Fiction, and her poetry and prose have been published in local and international literary magazines, including Prism International, Cold Strawberries Collective, Re-Side Magazine, and ang(st) zine

Courtney is currently available to hire for freelance editing services, readings, panels, and as a workshop facilitator.
